SteppingStage:
- Resolved potential conflicts if another USB device that uses FTDI drivers is connected to the PC.
Images:
- Fixed crosshair calibration so that it now works again, as this was broken in intermediate versions after 3.1.9.0 (PixeLINK only)
- All saved images from textural and compositional data collection have scale bars and grain lines (as appropriate) burned on to them - this functionality will be extended and made fully customisable in v3.2.
Data Entry:
- Improvements to the workflow for collecting and editing estimated textural data.
- There is no longer a delay before showing the list of qualifiers for authigenic minerals, during compositional logging.
- Fixed bug when appending textural data collection, in that the SteppingStage would not follow the AoI stepping pattern correctly.
- Workflow improvements for the various modes of concurrent compositional and textural logging.
- Improvements to display of crosshairs and user-defined grain lines when zoomed out from the default view.
Touchstone:
- The mapping to Touchstone v7 has been improved, with some items being defaulted where there is no sensible alternative and a change to the rules involving "everything except" to better allow for "undifferentiated" and "not logged".
Virtual Image:
- The stitched virtual image can now be exported to a file format, and viewed in a standalone Petrog Virtual Image viewer application (which is available on request). This allows users to send virtual images to clients or colleagues that do not have Petrog.
Navigation:
- The Petrog menu options have been re-organised, in preparation for new features coming in v3.2 and also for clarity.
- There is a new version of the Tutorials window (available from Help | Tutorials), which better displays the available tutorials (in English and Spanish), and
- also gives access to the Petrog training guide (latest versions of the tutorials and training guide should be downloaded from ws2.petrog.com/support/tutorials.html)
- All drop-down lists have been made consistent, as previously there were two different styles in use, one of which caused compatibility issues with certain security software that may be installed on the PC.
Miscellaneous:
- Tidied up initialisation of buttons and drop-downs in the textural and compositional parts of the Data Methodology window, so they are only enabled when the relevant acquisition method is set.
- Fixed bug in Grid Mode for textural data collection, as it was only possible to draw one grain line even if the Data Methodology specified that major and minor axis data was required
- Improvements to concentric pies charts, including fixing a problem with the outer ring sometimes not splitting correctly.
- The Downhole plot window now has the option to save the chart as a Bitmap file.
- New 'export' button on the TickLists window, in order that it is possible to copy a TickList to the clipboard for reference
- Fixed issues with colour labelling of categories in the Mineralogical and Porosity summary windows, and fixed a bug with the output from copying the grid to the clipboard in the Mineralogical summary window.
- Bug fixes and improvements to creation, editing and management of Keyboard Mappings.
